My Room is 4°C Cooler thanks to my roof garden
The Hindu reported on an IIT-Madras study showing rooftop gardens cut roof surface temperatures by 8–12°C in Chennai. I took a thermometer to my own terrace — a garden my mother built entirely out of kitchen seeds — and measured a 4.4°C difference between the exposed roof and the planted side.
